The Ballestrinque — the Spanish name for the Clove Hitch — is a knot every sailor must know. Practical, precise and quietly beautiful.

This pendant translates that meaning into an object to wear close to the body.

A knot that holds.

In Western maritime tradition, knots were often associated with protection and good fortune.

When I first made this pendant, I wasn't aware of that tradition. Yet, intuitively, the same idea was already there.
